No Excuses, Only Solutions

Coming up with excuses instead of exercising is easy. It’s tempting to just say “I’m too busy” or “It’s too boring.” Today, we bring you five popular excuses and how you can overcome them. Remember, it’s easy to fall prey to these excuses and it’s important to understand ways to work around them.

I’m too busy

This is possibly the most common excuse. You need to make working out a priority and find the time to exercise. If something is a priority you can be sure that you will make time for it. Exercise needs to be looked at as a priority. Schedule your workout when you plan out your days or weeks.

Exercise is boring

The solution to this excuse is very simple. Find something that you enjoy and make that a part of your exercise routine. You could have a variety of go to activities like swimming, cycling, and TFW classes. Fill your exercise routine with lots of enjoyable activities.

I’m Too Fat

This should not be an excuse to not exercise, it should be an incentive. The key is to start gradually. Depending on your starting point you may not be able to handle as much as your classmates, but know that it takes time to achieve the great results that you want. A way of looking at it is this:
If you weight 260lbs and have been that way for 20 – 25 years of your life, then you cannot expect to drop 100lbs in a few days. The same way it took time to climb up to 260lbs, it will take time to bring your weight down.

I’m Already Skinny

Being thin is absolutely a positive thing and can be associated to good health. But exercising is still important and has additional benefits that you cannot enjoy from having keeping a low weight.

I Don’t Like the Gym

There are plenty of options aside from the traditional Gym membership. You can try coming to classes here at TFW Brooklyn, where you will enjoy a much closer environment. There are lots of activities you can do that do not require a Gym membership. You could try running, cycling, workout videos, or playing a sport.

So what’s your excuse for not exercising?
